Meet our PACK Director, Laura Rivers. She is a lifelong Methodist, having grown up as a “Preacher’s Kid” in various locations across South Carolina. She and her family have been incredibly active in the Florence community for over 30 years.

Laura holds a SC teaching certificate and taught in public schools (28 years) and private schools (3 years) from 1991 until her retirement in 2022. Her 30+ year career focused on kindergarten, fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. Laura always viewed teaching as her calling and her classroom as her mission field.

She is thrilled to be able to continue her calling in a slightly different way through this aftercare outreach ministry at Pisgah. We appreciate that Laura brings to the PACK not only her extensive educational experience and her knack for relationship-building, but also her positive Christian witness and her love for all of God’s children.
